Man Kills Father in Glyfada, Previously Convicted of Mother's Murder

A 46-year-old man in Glyfada killed his 80-year-old father with a knife and placed the body in the trunk of a car. The perpetrator had been sentenced to 16 years in prison for the murder of his mother in 2014, using the same method. He was released on parole with conditions, including residing at his father's home and regular appearances at the police station. Neighbors reported that the man had psychological problems and that the murder was expected. During his arrest, he allegedly told police he would also kill his siblings. Police had been informed about the perpetrator's situation and had taken measures to monitor him, but no new incidents of domestic violence had occurred after his release. The case raises questions about the adequacy of the measures taken to monitor the perpetrator and prevent a new tragedy.
