Tragedy in the Spanish Pyrenees: Three Dead in Avalanche at Popular Ski Resort

Three people died and one woman was injured in an avalanche that struck a group of skiers in the Spanish Pyrenees, at the Panticosa resort. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the group was on a slope near the Tablato peak. The rescued woman is hospitalized with hypothermia. Authorities continue their search to identify the victims. Panticosa is a popular ski resort, however, the national weather service had issued a warning for low to moderate avalanche risk in the area. The president of the Aragon region expressed his sadness over the tragic incident and will travel to the area.
