Police Operations Lead to Three Arrests Across Cyprus

The Cyprus Police conducted targeted preventative operations across all provinces, with an increased presence in urban areas, aiming to prevent criminal activities and protect citizens. During these operations, three individuals were arrested: two in Nicosia for assault against a police officer, public intoxication, and causing disturbance, as well as for illegal stay in Cyprus, and one in Larnaca for carrying a knife and illegal possession of property. In total, over 370 vehicles and 470 individuals were checked, while 32 premises were inspected. These checks resulted in two complaints regarding violations of operating licenses. Additionally, 168 traffic violations were recorded, including five cases of driving under the influence of alcohol, and seven vehicles were impounded. These operations are part of a broader and ongoing police plan to enhance citizen safety and prevent crime. The increased police presence and targeted checks aim to address any illegal activities promptly. The Police are committed to continuously implementing these measures, adapting their operations to the needs of society and utilizing all available resources to protect citizens and maintain public order.
