Murder Investigation Launched in Paphos Following Stabbing

Police in Paphos are investigating a case of premeditated murder following the death of a 41-year-old Bulgarian man. The man was taken to hospital with a stab wound and succumbed to his injuries despite doctors' efforts. The altercation that led to the injury reportedly took place in the Peyeia area, where casings and bloodstains were found. According to the Police, the 41-year-old, along with four other men, travelled from Limassol to Paphos to resolve disputes. During an argument, the 30-year-old allegedly stabbed the 41-year-old with a knife. The 30-year-old was arrested with a warrant and is in custody for questioning. Furthermore, during searches of a car near the scene of the altercation, three other individuals were arrested for illegal possession of explosives. Eight military cartridges were found and confiscated in the vehicle. Police are continuing their investigations to clarify all aspects of the case and determine the exact cause of the altercation.
