Iran Criticizes Europe, Saying It's Reaping What It Sowed Regarding Trump's Threats

Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, sharply criticized Europe for its support of Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the nuclear agreement, arguing that it is now experiencing the consequences of that choice with the threat of new tariffs. Araghchi stated that Europe is “reaping the winds it has sown” and that its attitude towards Iran and now towards its own threats from Trump demonstrates the need for consistency in international agreements. He emphasized that either all agreements are binding, or no handshake means anything, warning of the collapse of the international order if agreements are not honored. Araghchi referred to the recent US-EU deal on tariffs, pointing out the hypocrisy of Europe's stance, which now protests Trump's violation of the agreement.
