84% of French People See Trump as a Threat to World Peace

A recent Elabe poll conducted for BFM reveals that a significant majority of French citizens (84%) perceive Donald Trump as dangerous to global peace. This view is widespread across the political spectrum, ranging from 69% among right-wing voters to 95% among left-wing voters. Furthermore, 81% of respondents believe Trump acts impulsively, while 88% think his behavior is primarily driven by personal interests. The poll also indicated concern regarding Trump's intentions towards Greenland, with 80% believing a military invasion is plausible. A substantial proportion (60%) of the French public supports the deployment of French troops to Greenland to assist Denmark, with stronger support from left-wing (74%) and centrist (85%) voters. Support is more divided among right-wing voters (44%). Regarding Franco-American relations, a majority (55%) consider the United States a country France should approach with caution, while a significant portion (44%) view the US as a hostile nation. Only a small percentage (4%) see the US as a reliable ally. Finally, concerning defense, 46% favor European cooperation, 34% prefer autonomous French defense, and 19% prioritize NATO.
