Alexander Tofalidis: “I Want to Win Medals for Cyprus in 2026”

Alexander Tofalidis, the first Cypriot fencer to compete in the Olympic Games, expressed his satisfaction with last year's competitive season, which focused on improving his techniques. His goal for 2026 is to win medals for Cyprus. In 2025, he achieved significant successes, including winning the international tournament in Birmingham and finishing 9th in the World Cup in Bahrain. This year's program includes the Mediterranean and Commonwealth Games, as well as the European and World Championships, with the aim of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Additionally, he will present his book “Fighting For Your Dream” in Nicosia, Aradippou, and Limassol, with interactive lectures for fencers.
