The Cardiac Innovation Center of Apollo Private Hospital has released its clinical outcomes for 2025, as part of its commitment to transparency and quality assessment. A total of 415 heart surgeries were performed with an overall mortality rate of 0.24% (1 patient). Comparing the results with the 2023 data from the German Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (DGTHG), the center demonstrates significantly better performance in various intervention categories. Specifically, the mortality rate for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures was 0%, compared to 2.4% in Germany. In valve disease surgeries, the mortality rate was also 0% for both sternotomy and minimally invasive techniques, while the corresponding rates in Germany ranged from 1.1% to 6.4%. Furthermore, 6 procedures involved patients with endocarditis and were successfully treated. The publication of these results aims to inform patients and healthcare professionals, as well as to continuously improve cardiac surgery services.
