Archbishop to Compose New Hymns for Good Friday Focusing on the Cyprus Issue

The Archbishop of Cyprus has decided to compose new hymns for Good Friday, which will be chanted during the three stations of the Lamentations. These hymns will be supplications related to the long-standing Cyprus issue. According to the Archbishop's press representative, Christakis Eustathiou, this initiative aims to spiritually highlight and promote the national issue, responding to the concerns of the Cypriot people. Mr. Eustathiou expressed confidence that the content of the hymns will not cause controversy but will offer comfort and hope to Cypriot Hellenism.
