Στην έναρξη της περιόδου λίγο πολύ οι περισσότεροι είχαν τον Άρη μέσα στις ομάδες που θα διεκδικήσουν τον τίτλο. Με την πάροδο όμως του χρόνου, αυτό δεν φαίνεται να υφίσταται.
Η «ελαφρά ταξιαρχία» είναι πίσω σε απόδοση από τις τρεις ομάδες που προπορεύονται. Υστερεί πολύ εκτός έδρας αφού δεν κερδίζει παιχνίδια, πρόσφατα έχασε και τους πρώτους του βαθμούς στο στάδιο «Αλφαμέγα». Ρεαλιστικά αν το δει κανείς, υπάρχει κίνδυνος και για το ευρωπαϊκό εισιτήριο με το ΑΠΟΕΛ και τον Απόλλωνα να δείχνουν ικανοί να ανέβουν κι άλλο στην βαθμολογία.
