Police are investigating a fire that broke out at a vehicle showroom on Mesogi Avenue in Paphos as an act of arson. The fire caused extensive material damage, with eight cars, eleven motorcycles, three golf cart-type electric vehicles, and one jet ski destroyed. The business building and equipment were also damaged. According to Paphos Assistant Police Chief Michalis Nikolaou, the Paphos Crime Investigation Department is treating the case as a conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary, and arson. Preliminary investigations confirmed that the fire was set intentionally. The fire department managed to extinguish the fire, but the damage was already significant. The scene remains cordoned off for forensic and other examinations, while investigations continue to identify the perpetrators. The case has caused concern in the local community, as it is a serious act of vandalism and malice. Police are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.
