Two people have died and others injured in avalanches in the Italian Alps. The first avalanche in the Maira Valley of Piedmont killed one man and injured two, while a second near Pragelato seriously injured a woman. Additionally, a 50-year-old skier died in an avalanche in the Veneto region. Strong winds are hindering rescue operations and authorities are warning of an increased avalanche risk.
