The Federation of Construction Employers Associations of Cyprus (OSEOK) met with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Marinos Mousiouttas, to discuss the labor shortage in the construction industry. OSEOK proposed employing asylum seekers with a special work permit for a specific period, as well as including workers from third countries in the category of new entrants until they acquire the necessary qualifications. Additionally, they suggested expanding Standard Professional Qualifications and assigning worker training to the KEPO Training Center, as well as a grant scheme for equipment renewal.
