Cran Montana: Heartbreaking Scenes at 16-Year-Old Riccardo’s Funeral – Crowds Pay Tribute with Applause

A funeral was held in a climate of grief and anger for 16-year-old Italian Riccardo Minghetti, a victim of the fatal fire at the Le Constellation bar in Cran Montana, Switzerland. A large crowd gathered to say goodbye to the young man, while relatives and friends broke into applause as the coffin was carried towards the church. Investigations are underway regarding the failure to conduct fire safety checks at the establishment for at least five years, despite the legal obligation for annual inspections. Legal representatives of the families are calling for the authorities’ responsibility to be investigated. According to authorities, the fire started from fireworks lit in champagne bottles, causing ignition of the soundproofing foam on the ceiling. The two individuals responsible for the establishment, a French couple, are under investigation for negligent homicide, negligent bodily harm, and negligent arson. The tragedy resulted in 40 deaths and 116 injuries.
