Criminal Admission Regarding Cran Montana Fire: Bar Unchecked for 5 Years

Following the tragedy at the Le Constellation bar in Cran Montana, where 40 people lost their lives, local authorities admitted that the bar had not undergone any safety checks in the past five years. This admission has caused shock and raises serious questions about the safety of entertainment venues. The mayor of Cran Montana, Nicolas Ferre, expressed his deep regret for the negligence but was unable to explain why the required annual fire safety checks were not carried out. He argued that the soundproofing foam used in the bar was considered acceptable at the time of installation. As a result of the negligence, two other event venues owned by the same owners of Le Constellation have been closed. In addition, the use of fireworks inside entertainment venues has been prohibited. The lack of an alarm due to the size of the bar was also cited as a factor contributing to the tragedy. Despite the criticism and acceptance of responsibility, Mayor Ferre stated that he would not resign, emphasizing that he and his colleagues were elected by the residents and have a duty to remain to support the local community.
