Cyprus and Qatar Discuss Regional Developments and Bilateral Cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, met with the Minister of International Cooperation of Qatar, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, in Nicosia. The meeting focused on regional issues and developments, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and Qatar. Mr. Kombos stated that the discussion centered on ways to further deepen relations between the two countries. The meeting took place on the occasion of the Qatari Minister's visit to Cyprus to attend the ceremony of the official assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the EU. The visit underscores the importance that Qatar attaches to the Cypriot Presidency and the strengthening of relations with the European Union.
