The Cyprus Drug and Organized Crime Unit (YKAN) has made a significant drug bust in Larnaca, seizing 993 sheets of A4 paper soaked in synthetic narcotics. The quantity is estimated to contain approximately 300 doses per sheet, with a total value of around €1.5 million. Authorities believe the drugs were intended for the Central Prisons and are cooperating with foreign agencies to trace the origin of the shipment. A 68-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case and is being held for six days, having not yet named any accomplices. This is considered the most serious case of drug-soaked paper ever recorded in Cyprus.
