Damianou on Police Schedule Change: “Dialogue and Revocation of Unilateral Decision Required”

AKEL MP Aristos Damianou called for the revocation of the Chief of Police's decision regarding the change in police working hours, describing the decision as unilateral and detrimental to the working conditions and pay of police officers. He stressed that the change should have started from the Police leadership and that overtime work affects the pay of police officers. The issue has been scheduled for discussion in the Legal Committee next Tuesday, with the aim of dialogue and finding a solution.
