DIPA Announces Ten New Candidates - More to Follow

The Democratic Alignment (DIPA) is announcing ten new candidates today for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Among them are Nestor Nestor, former head of the Greek Cypriot side of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) and former president of NEDIK, who will be a candidate in the province of Nicosia, and Loizos Michael, who recently resigned from DISY and will be a candidate in Limassol. The announcement of candidates will continue in the coming days, with the possibility of announcing another ten candidates by the end of the week and another ten before the end of the month. The final announcement, towards the end of January, will include the remaining candidates. The party's Political Committee will meet in the next few days to review the pre-election course, set goals and the main message of the campaign. The intentions of the party president, Marios Karoyian, are also expected to be clarified, with indications suggesting that he is unlikely to be a candidate. It is worth noting that DIPA announced its first ten candidates on December 19, which included four honorary and six party officials.
