“Economics for Success”: Investment in the Financial Literacy of the New Generation

The financial literacy program “Economics for Success”, implemented by Junior Achievement Cyprus in collaboration with the Cyprus Banks Association and under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, has been successfully completed for the seventh consecutive year. The program is aimed at students in the 2nd and 3rd grades of Gymnasium and aims to enhance financial literacy and cultivate life skills. This year, 853 students from 18 Gymnasiums participated, becoming familiar with basic economic concepts such as economics, money, lending, credit cards and the labor market. The success of the program is due to the contribution of 34 volunteer professionals from the member banks of the Cyprus Banks Association, who share their practical knowledge with students. The program covers six modules, focusing on self-awareness, goal setting, budgeting, responsible consumption, creditworthiness and risk management. PASCAL International Education actively participated in the implementation of the program, offering a practical educational experience to its students.
