Erhiurman: Cyprus-Greece-Israel Collaborations are an ‘Anti-Turkish Axis’

Published January 5, 2026, 14:22

Tufan Erhiurman claims that the collaborations between the Republic of Cyprus, Greece, and Israel in the fields of defense and energy have turned into an “anti-Turkish axis”. Commenting on President Christodoulides’ New Year message, Erhiurman argued that these actions create a climate of confrontation with Turkey. He believes that energy cooperation between Cyprus, Turkey, and Greece could be an incentive for resolving the Cyprus issue. He also emphasized that a solution does not come through antagonism but through cooperation, and that Turkey and Turkish Cypriots must be recognized as equal partners.
