EU to Israel: Suspending NGOs in Gaza Will Block Lifesaving Aid

The European Union has warned Israel that suspending the operations of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Gaza will hinder the delivery of vital humanitarian aid to the population. The EU stated that the law on NGO registration cannot be applied in its current form. Israel is threatening to suspend the licenses of several organizations that have not provided information about their Palestinian employees, citing security concerns and preventing support for terrorism. However, NGOs argue that the new rules will have a significant negative impact on aid distribution, which is already insufficient. While a ceasefire agreement stipulated the entry of 600 aid trucks per day, only 100-300 are carrying humanitarian cargo.
