Eurovision Announces First-Ever Tour to Mark 70th Anniversary Amidst Controversy

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has announced the first-ever Eurovision tour to celebrate the competition's 70th anniversary. The tour will take place in June and July across ten European cities, including London and Paris, and will feature performances by iconic artists from the contest as well as the 2026 participants. The announcement comes during a period of strong reactions and withdrawals from the competition due to Israel's participation and the war in Gaza. A total of five countries have withdrawn, reducing the number of competitors to 35, the lowest level since 2004. Even winners like Nemo have expressed their protest.
