Expert Highlights Turkish Language Trace in Disputed Video

A cybersecurity expert, Dinos Passtos, conducted technical and linguistic analysis of the video that circulated and caused reactions in Cyprus. The analysis revealed the presence of a linguistic trace referring to the Turkish language, specifically the use of the letters “ı” and “ş” within English words. Passtos pointed out that the letter “ı” (i without a dot) is not used in the English language, but is characteristic of Turkish. He also noted the appearance of the letter “ş” in a shot from the video, which also does not belong to the English alphabet. However, the expert clarifies that the presence of these letters does not, in itself, constitute proof of identity. He emphasizes the possibility that they were deliberately placed as a means of deception and disorientation. In summary, Passtos stresses that language always leaves traces, even in seemingly small details, and that analyzing these traces can help understand the context of the video's publication.
