Feast Day of May 26th: Honoring Saints Alphaeus, Carpus, and Synesius

Today, May 26th, the Church commemorates the memory of Saint Alphaeus, Saint Carpus the Apostle, and Saint Synesius. Apostle Carpus, a disciple of the Lord and a colleague of the Apostle Paul, spread the Gospel in Troas and became a bishop in Varna, Thrace. During his ministry, he faced temptations and sorrows with courage and patience, remaining steadfast in his faith. Saint Carpus passed away peacefully, leaving behind a shining example for believers. His memory reminds us that the path to union with the Lord is full of trials, which we must face with struggle and according to His will.
