Flu Situation in Cyprus Deemed 'Manageable' by Health Authorities

The flu situation in Cyprus is considered manageable by the Cyprus Public Health Service (CPHS) and the Ministry of Health, despite the recent surge in respiratory infections. According to assessments, the epidemic has reached its peak and a slight decline is being observed, consistent with the picture in the rest of Europe. CPHS spokesperson Charalambos Charilaou stated that there is no increase in cases and even a slight decrease in hospital admissions. A meeting at the Ministry of Health confirmed that flu cases do not exceed annual expectations. These statements contrast with some reports of an increase in cases, which Mr. Charilaou dismissed.
