Foreign Policy 'on Different Paths': Harsh Criticism of the Government by AKEL

AKEL is strongly criticizing the Christodoulides government for deepening military-political cooperation with Israel, describing it as dangerous and without considering the implications for Cyprus. AKEL calls on the government to inform political forces and citizens about the agreements reached. It points out that trust in Israel and the Netanyahu regime to protect Cyprus from Turkish aggression is an illusion, as Israel has not shown such intentions in the past. Furthermore, AKEL argues that the government is undermining its credibility in the struggle to end the Turkish occupation by covering up Israel's violations of international law. Finally, it states that the government's foreign policy appears to be moving away from resolving the Cyprus issue and towards subservience to other powers.
