Former Bishop of Paphos Placed on Indefinite Leave by Holy Synod

The Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus has decided to place the former Bishop of Paphos, Tychikos, on indefinite leave. The decision was made during an emergency session and concerns the non-acceptance of the terms set by the Synod. The Synod's session has not been completed due to the multitude of issues being considered and will continue next week. The Synod's agenda included the issue of Bishop Tychikos, constitutional changes, and complaints regarding the Avakoum Monastery.
