France, Netherlands, and UK: Snowfall Disrupts Travel, Hundreds of Flights Canceled

Heavy snowfall is affecting France, the Netherlands, and the UK, causing significant disruptions to air travel and train schedules. At Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, approximately 700 flights have been canceled, while in France, a 15% reduction in flights was requested at Paris airports. Numerous train routes have also been canceled, particularly in the Netherlands, where the railway company announced fewer services and Eurostar canceled departures to the Netherlands, with trains terminating in Brussels. In France, speed limits have been imposed on roads and bus routes have been canceled, resulting in severe traffic congestion. Authorities are warning citizens to stay home whenever possible due to the risk of accidents from ice and snow. The Dutch meteorological service forecasts continued snowfall in the coming days.
