Germany, Sweden, France and Norway Send Troops to Greenland Amid Trump Threats

Germany, Sweden, France and Norway are sending military forces to Greenland for joint exercises with Denmark, amid growing concerns over Donald Trump's threats to annex the island. Trump has stated that US control of Greenland would strengthen NATO. This move is seen as a show of solidarity with Denmark and Greenland, as well as a strengthening of NATO's military presence in the Arctic. Canada and France are also planning to open consulates in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. A meeting between Danish and Greenlandic officials with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance did not yield immediate results, but an agreement was reached to form a working group to find common ground.
