Giorgos Papadakis: The Life of a Long-Standing Presenter Away from the Cameras

Giorgos Papadakis, one of the longest-standing presenters in Greek television, left the studio in the summer of 2025, leaving behind a significant legacy. He began his career in the 1980s with the show “Three in the Air” and became known through “Good Morning Greece,” which he hosted for 34 years. Papadakis, born in 1951 in Halandri with Cretan roots, inspired many young journalists. He was married twice and had three children. Before television, he worked in various jobs, such as construction and at a funeral home, to support his family.
