Helleniq Energy Aims for Further Growth in 2026

Helleniq Energy CEO Andreas Siamisiss estimated that 2026 could be an even better year for the company, under normal international conditions, following a strong 2025 with EBITDA exceeding 1 billion euros. The Thessaloniki-Skopje pipeline (Vardax) has been put into operation after 13 years of inactivity, ensuring the supply of Balkan countries with a reduced environmental footprint. The scheduled maintenance of the Aspropyrgos refinery is being postponed to the first quarter of 2026 to ensure market supply. Additionally, a 50 million euro investment has been scheduled for the Thisvi unit to enhance its efficiency and flexibility. The FSRU Thessaloniki project is maturing, while the company is active in three areas of hydrocarbon exploration: Ionian Sea, Southern Peloponnese and Western Crete, as well as Crete.
