Indonesia: Passenger Plane Lost Contact – Search Efforts Underway

A small passenger plane with 11 people on board (3 passengers and an 8-member crew) lost contact while flying over eastern Indonesia. Indonesian authorities have launched search and rescue operations in the mountainous area of Maros, where the plane's last signal was recorded. Helicopters, drones, the air force, police, and volunteers are involved in the search. The plane was owned by Indonesia Air Transport and was heading to Makassar after departing from Yogyakarta.
