Job Opportunities via 'Minds in Cyprus' Platform

The Ministry of Finance has informed the Parliament about the 'Minds in Cyprus' platform and the 'Opportunities for Talent' mechanism, aimed at connecting Cypriot expatriates with job opportunities in Cyprus. The mechanism operates through the Department of Labour, where interested individuals register their qualifications and companies post available positions. The Department matches qualifications with requirements and informs candidates, providing contact details for employers. The platform also includes an Action Plan approved by the Cabinet, an Information Hub with useful information for repatriation, event details, and a communication channel with implementing agencies. To date, the platform has received and responded to 207 messages/queries from expatriates. According to the data, 610 users have registered and 99 job postings have been published by 51 companies, with 103 currently active. The majority of registered users come from the United Kingdom (291), the United States (29), Greece (21), the Netherlands (15), Germany (14), and Australia (13), as well as from over 40 other countries. The areas of interest of registered users are diverse, with many indicating interest in more than one sector. This suggests a wide range of skills and professional profiles among Cypriot expatriates wishing to return to Cyprus.
