Exploitation Allegations at Labubu Toy Factory

A report by China Labor Watch (CLW) reveals serious allegations of labor exploitation at the Shunjia Toys Co Ltd factory, a supplier of Pop Mart, in Guangdong Province, China. The allegations concern excessive overtime, blank or incomplete contracts, failure to provide paid leave, and a lack of adequate safety training. The factory employs over 4,500 workers and is a “key production unit” for Labubu toys. CLW also points out the employment of underage workers (16 years old) without special protection. Pop Mart has launched an investigation and states it will require its partners to correct their practices, while conducting regular audits. Shunjia Toys Co Ltd has not responded to requests for comment. CLW calls on Pop Mart to compensate affected workers and ensure compliance with labor laws and international standards.
