Lakkotrypis Testifies About Ghost Company and Fake Investors

Former Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis testified to the Police regarding the video that caused a political uproar, concerning alleged investors interested in investments worth 150 million euros. In his testimony, Mr. Lakkotrypis presented evidence of his meetings with the alleged investors, who introduced themselves as representatives of the company Stratix Wealth. He also submitted documents and emails related to these meetings, as well as a copy of a trial agreement. However, the company Stratix Wealth turned out to be a ghost company and its traces have been lost. Mr. Lakkotrypis maintained that the video is edited and illegally recorded, with the aim of harming the Republic of Cyprus, the Government, and President Christodoulides. The Police are investigating the case, in cooperation with the Cybercrime Subdivision and the Forensic Science Service, while the Security Services estimate that the video is part of an organized hybrid operation.
