Larnaca Investigation: Mobile Phones, Surveillance Footage, and Testimonies Under Scrutiny

The Larnaca Police have requested an eight-day detention for five suspects arrested in connection with criminal organization involvement and other offenses. The suspects, aged 22, 29 (x2), 31, and 42, appeared before the Larnaca District Court under tight security. The court deemed there was reasonable suspicion of their involvement in the offenses and ordered their detention. The investigation concerns an attempted murder of a businessman in July 2025 and has gathered evidence from 366 entries over the past six months. Police expect to take over 32 testimonies from the suspects' social and professional circles, examine surveillance footage, analyze telecommunications data, and conduct forensic examinations of their mobile phones. The offenses under investigation include conspiracy, extortion, property demands under threat, and money laundering.
