Man Walks Around the World for 27 Years, Nearing Completion

Karl Bushby, a British man, embarked on a unique journey in 1998: to walk around the world without any form of transportation. Starting from Punta Arenas, Chile, he has crossed continents, borders, and faced various challenges, including bureaucratic obstacles, extreme weather conditions, and political unrest. He has endured hunger, freezing temperatures, imprisonment, and losses in his personal relationships. Despite the hardships, Bushby continues to walk an average of 30 kilometers per day, nearing the end of his 36,000-mile journey and his return to England. The journey has taught him the kindness of people and the fragility of relationships, as well as the value of perseverance and adaptation.
