Milan Emerges as Europe's "Golden Capital" with a High Concentration of Millionaires

Milan is emerging as a major hub for millionaires and billionaires worldwide. According to the Henley & Partners report, the city is home to approximately 115,000 millionaires and 17 billionaires, ranking 11th globally and 3rd in Europe. Milan also stands out with the highest percentage of millionaires relative to its total population, reaching one in twelve residents. The increase in wealth in the city is attributed to factors such as a high quality of life, its role in financial services, the luxury real estate market, and a favorable tax system for those with large capital. The Italian government has introduced tax incentives to attract wealthy investors, offering a substitute tax for income generated outside of Italy.
