Nicosia Municipality Announces Changes to Waste Collection and Market Schedules for the Holidays

The Nicosia Municipality informs citizens of changes to the waste collection schedule and market operations due to the New Year and Epiphany holidays of 2026. The Municipality's offices will be closed on January 1st and 6th, 2026. The People's Market will operate as usual on December 31st, 2025, while the Agios Antonios Retail and Wholesale Market will be closed on New Year's Day. The waste collection will be delayed for December 31st and January 6th. Specifically, the collection scheduled for December 31st will be carried out during the next scheduled collection, while the collection for January 5th/6th will be moved to January 6th/7th respectively. The Green Points in Agios Domettios and Kaimakli will also be closed on January 1st and 6th, 2026. Paper bag collection will not take place during the holiday period. The Municipality facilitates the payment of fines through its website (e-Nicosia) without interruption, with the option of paying at the Municipality's Treasury on January 2nd, 2026. On December 31st, payments will be made only through the website due to year-end closing procedures.
