Odysseas Michaelides: Doesn't Care if the 'Investor' is Called Florin Georghiou

Odysseas Michaelides, head of the ALMA movement, made serious allegations regarding the operation of the Presidential Office in relation to the Fund and investment funding, speaking of opacity, political favors and collusion, similar to the 'golden passports' scandal. He argued that the Fund has evolved into an informal grant mechanism, leaving the official State Scholarships Foundation without sufficient funds. He expressed strong concern about the President's insistence on requesting contributions from investors within the framework of corporate social responsibility, characterizing it as 'black donations'. He also criticized the role of the Director of the President's Office in investment matters, highlighting potential conflicts of interest and nepotism. He referred to specific cases, such as the project in Vassilikos and Mari, where, according to him, the state mechanism served private interests.
