PAOK and AEK Share Top Spot in Greek Super League

Published January 19, 2026, 07:31

The 17th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League concluded with PAOK and AEK sharing the top spot with 41 points each. PAOK secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over OFI, while AEK defeated Panathinaikos 4-0 in the Nea Philadelphia derby. The league standings are complicated by the postponement of the Olympiacos - Asteras AKTOR match, following a request from the Piraeus team. Olympiacos is currently in third place with 39 points, but has a game in hand. The postponement gives Olympiacos the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders. Panathinaikos, also with a game in hand, remained on 25 points after their derby defeat. This means that Levadiakos has the opportunity to improve their position and gain an advantage in the race for a top-four finish. The 17th matchday will be completed on Monday (19/01) with two matches: Panaitolikos - Levadiakos and Volos - Atromitos. The results of these matches could further impact the standings and the teams' positions.
