Paphos: Poachers Turn Weapon Against Game Wardens

Game wardens in Paphos were targeted by two suspects during a patrol, after discovering illegal shooting. One of the suspects turned a flobert-type firearm against the wardens, threatening them, before both suspects fled. The wardens managed to arrest a 66-year-old man, who was found in possession of 18 freshly killed partridges and additional ammunition. The second suspect escaped, and the case has been assigned to the Paphos TAE for further investigation. During the incident, the wardens discovered a wild bird falling from a tree, likely as a result of the shooting.
