Last night, around 8:20 PM, game wardens in Paphos, during a patrol in the Acheleia area, discovered two individuals shooting with a flober-type firearm. During the shooting, the wardens observed a wild bird falling from a nearby tree. When the wardens proceeded with a check, one of the suspects turned against them with the weapon and threatened them, while both then fled. The wardens managed to arrest one of the suspects, a 66-year-old man. In the possession of the 66-year-old, 18 freshly killed partridges were found. In addition, at the shooting site, another freshly killed partridge, two full flober cartridges, and four empty cartridges were found. The 66-year-old was arrested for immediate offenses. Members of the Police were called to the scene and went to investigate the case. The Paphos Crime Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the investigation of the case, while the second suspect remains at large.
