Tensions remain high regarding police overtime in Cyprus. Following a meeting between union representatives and the Minister of Justice, the President of Isotita, Nikos Loizidis, announced that protests would be organized in unexpected locations and times. Konstantinos Fytiris responded with a stern message, warning of consequences for those who do not comply with the regulations. The Isotita Union responded strongly, emphasizing that the role of a trade unionist is to control power, not to submit to it, and that carrying out illegal orders constitutes criminal liability. The union states that it will not be silenced and will not compromise the dignity of police officers and prison wardens.
