Police Unions Seek Discussion on New Schedule in January

Police unions in Cyprus expect a discussion on the issue of the new work schedule in the Parliamentary Legal Committee in January. The discussion was prompted by the issuance of a circular by the Chief of Police that caused reactions. The 'Isotita' union has already scheduled a protest rally outside the Parliament during the session, while the Cyprus Police Association (SAK) is also awaiting a meeting of the Mixed Police Personnel Committee (MEPA) to examine the issue. Both unions are seeking dialogue with the Chief of Police to resolve the problem.
