Pope Calls for 'Craftsmanship of Peace' to Prevail

Pope Leo, concluding the Holy Year of Catholics, emphasized the importance of peace and solidarity, reiterating that Christians cannot be indifferent to global problems. He condemned the 'distorted economy' that seeks profit from everything, even from people's need for discovery and a new beginning. He also referred to developments in Venezuela, stressing the need to respect the country's sovereignty and the rule of law. The Pope called for the 'craftsmanship of peace' to prevail over the 'industry of war', emphasizing that Jesus Christ is found in humble realities, not in impressive spaces. The conclusion of the Holy Year was accompanied by upgrades to the Italian capital, with over five billion euros spent on cultural heritage and urban infrastructure. The Holy Door will reopen in 2033.
