President Accepts Haralambous' Resignation – Nikos Christodoulides' Statement

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that he has accepted the resignation of his Chief of Staff, Charalambos Haralambous, following his involvement in the leaked video. The President described the resignation as an act of self-confidence and trust. In his announcement, President Christodoulides expressed his regret over Mr. Haralambous' departure, emphasizing his diligence, ethics, and integrity. He acknowledged that his departure is a loss of a valuable partner in the effort to upgrade the country, in accordance with the Governance Program. The resignation comes as a result of the public outcry caused by the leak of the video, in which the President's Chief of Staff is allegedly involved.
