President Christodoulides Meets with Egyptian Oil Minister

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, met with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Karim Badawi, at the Presidential Palace. President Christodoulides emphasized the close cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt, as well as the importance of bringing the European Union closer to the region, particularly Egypt. He highlighted that Egypt is a strategic partner of the EU and a pillar of stability. The discussion focused on energy and a new meeting with a representative of ENI is expected. The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum congratulated President Christodoulides on the Cypriot Presidency of the EU and reiterated the strategic importance of cooperation between the two countries.
