Results Expected from State Chemistry Lab in Water Cooler Case

The results of the tests from the State Chemistry Lab are expected within the week and are considered crucial for the investigation into the contaminated water cooler case in Larnaca, which led to the death of a 78-year-old man and the hospitalization of four others. Police continue the investigation at an intensive pace and are taking testimonies from the close circle of those affected. So far, no evidence has emerged to suggest criminal activity, however, the Police emphasize that the case is delicate and requires complete scientific examinations. No other similar incidents have been reported, and there is no need for assistance from specialized experts from abroad. The investigation focuses on the analysis of the water from the water cooler, in order to determine the presence of toxic substances or contamination. The delay in issuing the results is due to a public holiday, but it is estimated that there will be an acceleration due to the seriousness of the case. The Police expect to have a clearer picture of the situation after the completion of the State Chemistry Lab's tests. Until then, the investigation will continue with the aim of protecting public health and administering justice.
